Evening changes to night, and then
to a new day, as the next millennium arrives.
The twenty tulips in this field, one for each past century, have bloomed,
and await the unfolding of the twenty-first century, still a bud.
The events of the new century will enhance the new tulip bud with color, as
is seen on the tulips of the previous centuries.
